Veterans. Their Families. Their Caregivers.
WOUNDED VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES
We give gardens to families with a wounded hero in the home.
Residential gardens have the power to heal. We identify families of wounded veterans who want to experience therapeutic horticulture at home. The gardens we create are developed from evidence-based design guidelines and include the personal preferences of the entire family.
From vegetable gardens to meditative spaces and everything in between, we gift gardens to support the healing of our heroes and the bonds of family.
CONNECTING MILITARY FAMILIES
We connect military families to share their experiences of therapeutic gardening.
Families engaging in therapeutic horticulture support each other through knowledge sharing and camaraderie. We connect these families so they can build on the collective experience of gardening and champion other families to experience therapeutic horticulture.
The families report on their experiences and advance horticulture therapy to heal our veterans.
The commitment to serve runs deep with our military families. We support this desire to serve by identifying social and vocational horticulture projects where military families can lead their communities in the creation of green space, food growth, and horticulture job training.
These veteran led horticulture projects contribute to social change. We measure these outcomes and share the learning with thought leaders to expand our reach.
