Pam Cole Finlay
Managing Partner of Specs Events
Pam has extensive experience in fundraising, community engagement and advocacy. Pam has raised more than $22 million for nonprofit organizations as a fundraiser and a volunteer. She has held leadership positions within the fields of health care, wellness and horticulture where she was responsible for special events, grant writing, sponsorships, and legislative affairs.
As a managing partner of a fundraising and events consultancy, she serves national clients, including the American Cancer Society, the Special Olympics, and The National Kidney Foundation. In addition to working with leading nonprofits, her client portfolio includes high- profile global brands including, Anheuser-Busch, Kraft Foods and Disneyland.
Pam also brings depth in community horticulture and agricultural initiatives. She plays a leadership role at Homestead Gardens, one of the largest destination garden centers in the Washington, D.C., metro area. The garden center is one of the five largest in the country. She works with ownership to support its community outreach and agri-education programming.
Pam is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in Sociology.
Therese Long, MBA, CAE
Executive Director Emeritus, OSAP
Therese Long is a proven health care leader with director-level experience in organizations, including a leading global infection control nonprofit and Johnson & Johnson. She has collaborated on key initiatives with the CDC, the World Health Organization, and the National Institutes for Occupational Safety and Health.
For over 22 years, Therese served as the executive director for the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP), which advocates for safe and infection-free delivery of oral health care. Therese oversaw the administration of educational events and programs, grew the organization’s membership to include internationally recognized experts and engaged leading dental manufacturers in sponsorship relationships. She also developed and ran an educational foundation to support and amplify the work of the association globally. The organization is now managed by Meeting Expectations, where Therese is developing a new national education and certification initiative.
Therese earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Saint Louis University and a Master in Business Administration with a Marketing concentration from The University of Texas at Arlington. She also is a Certified Association Executive from the American Society for Association Executives through 2023.
Therese is a lifelong gardener and is driven to deliver the healing benefits of gardens to the military community.
Stephen B. Paige
Retired Command Chief Master Sergeant
Pleasant View, TN
Chief Master Sergeant Stephen B. Page retired as the Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 12th Flying Training Wing (FTW), Randolph Air Force Base, TX. In this position, Chief Page advised the 12 FTW commander on the health, welfare, morale, mission effectiveness and the proper utilization of the 4,028 enlisted personnel and civilian workforce assigned to four groups, 26 squadrons, wing staff agencies, DRUs and FOAs. The 12 FTW trains Air Force pilots to be flight instructors at Air Education and Training Command’s four undergraduate pilot training bases and conducts Department of Defense Combat Systems Officer training for the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and over 20 allied nations.
Post retirement, CMSgt Page was hand-selected by AF/A1 and AF/A1S to stand up the first-ever Air Force Recovery Care Coordination (RCC) Program for Wounded, Ill and Injured airmen and their families. The RCC program provides a comprehensive nonmedical case management system to ensure airmen and their families can return to their “new normal” in their recovery, rehabilitation process. He also served as the director, Corporate Sponsorships for Operation Finally Home, a nonprofit organization that built new, mortgage-free homes for combat wounded.
He currently serves as the program manager, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Financial Coaching which provides financial coaching services to veterans and economically vulnerable communities at 60 locations across the US.
Stephen is a Master Gardner and has personally experienced the healing benefits of gardening throughout his military career and his life. He is now sharing his story of gardening as a therapeutic experience with the military community.
Owner, Kaiser Associates Strategic Communications
Steve founded Kaiser Associates in 1991 to provide strategic communications, public affairs and crisis management consulting to clients in health care, nonprofit, life sciences and education. His work includes strategic communications planning, media relations, research-driven programs, employee communications, crisis management, public affairs, development and marketing communications.
Steve has worked extensively to grow programs that involve older adults in volunteerism and civic engagement. These include Experience Corps in Baltimore City; a regional older adult civic engagement program called Neighbors in Deed; and a new initiative that matches professional women with grand and great grandparents who are once again raising young children.
Prior to founding Kaiser Associates, Steve worked in full- service advertising agencies, where he led public relations divisions. His earliest career highlight included his time in municipal government, when he was responsible for the PR for Baltimore during the 1970s and 1980s when it emerged on the national stage as an urban development success story.
Steve attended Case Western Reserve University, where he earned a graduate and an undergraduate degree in English simultaneously.
